Ultimate College Shopping List

Hello everyone!

Today I'll be sharing my college shopping list! This is slightly different from a college packing list, because I will only be discussing things to buy, instead of things to bring that you may already have and want to bring to college.

The summer before you move into college will be spent shopping! There are so many things you need to be prepared and to feel comfortable in your dorm

room. Though this list is my opinion of what you need to have in your dorm room it is pretty all inclusive. Feel free to add to it. I also left out school supplies because I am going to talk about that in another blog post!

Dorm Room:

Wall Decorations

Desk mirror

Bedding

Throw blankets

Sheets

Fairy lights (most dorms have poor lighting, these will brighten the room)

Desk lamp (this will also add light)

Pillow

Throw Pillows

Mattress Pad

Trashcan

Trash bags

Mattress Topper

Laundry basket

Command hooks and strips

Fan (some dorm rooms don't have AC)

Bathroom:

Bath towel

Hand towel

Wash Cloths

Storage for under your sink (if you have one)

Shower caddy (even if you have a shower)

Shower shoes

Cleaning supplies (unless provided by school or you have a cleaning service)

Storage:

Sliding drawer organizer for under your bed

Shoe rack

Hangers (buy the slim ones so you can fit more clothes in your closet)

Plastic bins to separate things in your drawers

Desk organizers

Makeup storage

Kitchen:

Mugs

Silverwear or plastic utensils

Plate (microwave safe)

Bowl (microwave safe)

Drinking glass

Travel mug

Water bottle

Plastic containers

Plastic bags

Dish towel
